Whenever something needs a bit of working out, script it so that I can see how I did it in the future. Sometimes they are re-used and enhanced. The offerings here are available as-is, without any guarantees. I do tend to use shell functions that I don't always include in the script. If a script complains that something is not found, check my Functions page. You can ignore lines calling 'lockvi' or 'vilock' which implement a system to avoid editing a file from more than one xterm. I will be adding that later.
